Recently more than 100 rugs arrived from overseas and Oscar Isberian Rugs hosted a successful event at our Kinzie showroom to “Unbaile” them. While our guests enjoyed cocktails and appetizers, our team opened the new shipment and unveiled them for the first time. To our guests surprise and even our own, beautiful rugs in varying sizes and styles were opened. Included in the shipment were various pieces from Pakistan and Nepal, washed out traditional neutrals, tufted contemporary rugs and a range of the popular over dyed rugs in pink, purples and blues.

Two highlights of the event were the unveiling of Susan Sissman’s Starlight rug and the dress created out of flat woven rugs by Cadmium Interiors Susan’s rug will grace the Mayor’s office among the great furniture and works of art created by local Chicagoans. The dress by Kristin Taghon and Jasmine McManamy will be on display at the Kinzie showroom with a new window installation soon to come. It was part of IIDA’s ArchiSTITCHure and Design fashion show held in the fall.
