It’s Official: Our 2014 Care & Fair Certification has Arrived!

For those of you who know us at Oscar Isberian Rugs, you
know that we take our business seriously on every level. Whether it is the
expert staff we vet for each of our stores; our advertising and promotional
initiatives; the organizations to which we donate our time and money; all the
way down to the quality materials we use and the award-winning designs we
curate for our customers, we are mindful about every decision we make.

It should come as no surprise, then, that since Care &
Fair’s inception in 1994, Oscar Isberian Rugs has been a proud supporter.

I remember the first time I heard about the organization in
the 1990s. One of our major suppliers in Pakistan was helping to bring together
committed carpet importers to form a group that would dedicate itself to
combating illegal Child Labor and, at the same time, improving the lives of the
carpet-makers in the nations of India, Nepal and Pakistan. The ultimate goals
were to suspend illegal Child Labor in the rug industry and to create better
living conditions by offering schools, training projects and basic medical care
in the rural knotting regions, often neglected by local governments.

To date, more than 450 member companies worldwide have
committed themselves to Care & Fair. Oscar Isberian is proud to be among
them.

Through our supply chain, Care & Fair receives
one-percent of the value of every imported carpet from India, Nepal and
Pakistan. That means each time you buy a rug from Oscar Isberian Rugs in
Evanston, Chicago or Highland Park, you are helping us to fund the 18 schools,
10 health projects and two adult-education projects that Care & Fair has
initiated in these needy, rug-producing nations.

We are proud to be members of Care & Fair. If you would
