Oscar Isberian Rugs featured in Architectural Digest home tour of Jason and Vedrana Heyward’s urban oasis

After discovering their dream Gold Coast home on a whim, San Diego Padres player Jason Heyward and his wife Vedrana began refreshing the new-build brownstone with a similar verve.

Envisioned by Michael Del Piero Good Design, the year-and-a-half renovation sought to replace dark finishes and cramped spaces with neutral elements and brighter, more open layouts. A study of creams, natural woods, and soft furnishings, the atmosphere of each environment breathes with an inviting sense of calm.

Exemplified best in the prayer room, a wind-down space inspired by Vedrana’s Muslim roots, an air of comfort and serenity arises in details like sheer, gauzy drapes, modular seating, and a sprawling Oscar Isberian alpaca fur rug.

Congratulations to the Heyward family, as well as Michael Del Piero and her affiliates, on the stunning transformation of this Chicago haven.
