Did you know that Oscar Isberian Rugs played a small part in Nik Wallenda’s record-breaking skyscraper walk above the Chicago River last month? On Sunday, Nov. 2, the seventh-generation, daredevil aerialist completed his most challenging feat to date: a tightrope walk 600 feet above downtown Chicago, between Marina City’s West Tower and the famous Leo Burnett Building. The “Skyscraper Live” walk was broadcast on the Discovery Channel and here’s where we fit into the picture. Prior to the walk, folks at Discovery asked us to loan them a rug for their set. We were only too happy to help. You can see the Oscar Isberian hand-knotted rug in the photo attached, which includes Nik Wallenda seated in the center, surrounded by his support team, including TV preacher, Joel Osteen. Congratulations, Nik, on your record-breaking feat! We’re floored by your achievement. (Too much? We couldn’t resist!)
