From Home Transformations to Transformative Work: Oscar Isberian Rugs Featured Across Modern Luxury Interiors Vol. 2 2025

In the second volume of their 2025 issue, Modern Luxury Interiors has showcased Oscar Isberian Rugs in two distinct features.

In their “Feels Like Home” story, which showcases the Evanston property owned by Studio Gild co-founder Kristen Ekeland, a selection of our vintage and contemporary floor coverings helped create a distinct sense of place. Purchasing the abode for her growing family, Ekeland aspired to “[create] a timeless yet livable home—one that respected [its] architectural heritage…while incorporating updates that felt fresh and relevant.”

This twofold objective becomes all the more apparent in the family room. Custom furnishings and modern accents complement various elements of the past, be it an antique Turkish Oushak rug from our warehouse or the space’s original trim and wood paneling. Between this balance of old and new, Ekeland’s designs evince a unique authenticity her family can warmly enjoy.

In a second “About Town” spotlight, Modern Luxury spotlights Carpets for a Cause, our annual charity auction. Working with a small group of Chicago designers to envision one-of-a-kind rugs, we benefit Designs with Dignity and their important mission to create transformative environments for all. Join us for this unparalleled event this year on November 13th.
