In Chicago’s Gold Coast, a 1910 house is where a newlywed couple was ready to begin their new lives, but first, the living room needed an update. Gil Melott of Studio 6F set out to bring their contrasting styles of vintage and modern together in a stunning $50,000 remodel, featured in the Wall Street Journal.

Melott carefully chose vintage and modern furniture and art pieces to suit the couple. The sofa includes feminine and masculine touches, the coffee table stands on limestone legs which compliments the stone of the fireplace, and a large wool rug from our collection was chosen for added texture and movement.

A big thank you to Gil for choosing our rug for this project and congratulations for the WSJ feature! The online version can be found here.
