Why Soft Surface Flooring Matters
A CEU Showroom Event in Chicago
Oscar Isberian Rugs hosted a CEU accredited showroom event in Chicago in collaboration with Nourison Home. The event focused on an important design topic for today’s interiors: why soft surface flooring matters and how soft surface flooring plays a key role in comfort, performance, and visual impact.
The educational session welcomed interior designers and industry professionals to our Kinzie Street showroom for an in depth discussion on the benefits of soft surface flooring in both residential and commercial spaces.
What Is Soft Surface Flooring and Why It Matters
Soft surface flooring includes rugs, carpets, and textile based floor coverings that add warmth, acoustic comfort, and flexibility to interior spaces. During the CEU presentation, attendees learned how soft surface flooring supports well being, improves sound control, and enhances the overall feel of a room.
The discussion highlighted how designers can use rugs as both functional and artistic elements, helping define spaces while adding texture and comfort. Real life applications were shared to demonstrate how soft surface flooring performs in modern interiors.
Inside the Oscar Isberian Rugs Showroom Experience
Following the presentation, guests explored the Oscar Isberian Rugs showroom to experience Nourison Home rugs up close. Designers had the opportunity to see how materials, pile heights, and color variations interact with lighting and furniture in real interior settings.
Hosting this CEU event in our Chicago showroom allowed attendees to connect education with hands on design inspiration. Conversations continued throughout the space as designers exchanged ideas and insights.
Supporting the Interior Design Community
This CEU event was offered in partnership with ASID and provided one hour of technical credit for participating interior designers. Educational events like this reflect our commitment to supporting the interior design community through learning, collaboration, and access to high quality products.
